The Millworks Laborer supports production and operations in a millwork environment, performing machine setup, operation, and material handling according to standard procedures. This role emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency while assisting the team in producing finished wood products to specification.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Operate millwork machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Set up, adjust, and maintain machines to meet production and quality standards.
Schedule and coordinate blade/tool changes, cleaning, and equipment teardown.
Dislodge and clear jammed wood, panels, or other materials from machinery.
Communicate with material handlers and production leads regarding workflow and material needs.
Accurately track and record production data and outputs.
Ensure products meet customer specifications; communicate specifications to team members.
Use calipers and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and production documentation.
Identify production line issues, non-conforming products, and implement corrective actions.
Lead or support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
Promote teamwork, safety, and a positive work environment.
